A year ago, October 7th 2013, our new adventures should start. It did indeed. Although, this so called adventure did not start right away. When you arrive from your hometown with just 4 luggage's on hand, you are still in this dream and may believe you are just on vacation. We did feel like we come to Switzerland just for a short vacation. The reality was far away. Why? Because family wraps or fools you and keep you in this dream. We had and we got everything. Trips to the mountains, family diner for every occasion, kids break etc. Grand-parents had this need to give us shelter, take us in and show us all the beauty of Switzerland. We had no spare-time at all.
4 weeks of enjoying family so close, we had to get our life back. We were not able staying at our parents in law house anymore. 6 people in one house is hard and space was getting smaller and smaller. We found an apartment in the middle of the town, close to the rail station. We wanted to have all options open, if and where P. will find work. The apartment is almost new. I got a kitchen counter in stone, my own washing machine and dryer in the flat, 2 bathroom with heated floor and the surface is close to 120 m2 (1200 sqft for my Canadian friends). Still, living in our flat gave us a little hint and push closer to reality, but we were still hanging in a dream.  We celebrated P. birthday at our new home. Christmas and more birthday came. We celebrated with family instead of friends. You can come back after 10 years, family will be still here, friends are going their way. Family is forever, friends for a specific time in life.
P. got 2-3 work chances, but the procedure was almost 2 months long. Finally, he got a job in town. He had a car for work, but we could use it private too, a good salary to start and the opportunity that company will pay for school to be an ITC Server Consultant.  Unfortunately, His boss was a A.. and P. had to quit his job end of June. Hang in there, he started a new job on July 1st as an IT senior consultant at SRG in Bern. He is a lucky one, salary and work was way better.
We were back in a normal routine. P. was working and I have a cute 14 months old job. I am kind a nanny for a little girl I take care of. C. and T. really love her and are very happy having a sister  for 2 days a week. The girls are very occupied. They have swimming lessons, go to the gym, to music classes, soccer training etc. They enjoy their life as "Life-learner". Thanks to my studies as pedagogical counselor in MTL, I got the approval to home-school T. & C.
Summer was not quit what we were used to it. it was not warm at all and it rained a lot.
Sometimes weather influences your thought. Now, 9 months after leaving house, friends and a nice city, the reality hits hard. Did we do the right thing? What would it be if we stayed? Why can't we find a home to buy, so our kids can be happy again? Not that they are not happy, but they talk a lot about the house in MTL and how they liked it there. They draw nice pictures for their old neighbors and their old friends. C. is asking me, when do we go back to Montreal and the house? It is hard to answer on this question and she knows the answer, but sometimes she doesn't want to admit it. I know we did it for a good reason, maybe not just for one, after all, a couple of reasons. We have an open wound, it is not bleeding, but will not heal fast or maybe never. Those 13 years living in another country, getting a job, making friends will mark us forever. We will not and can not forget. We hope all those people on our path keep us in good memory too.
